Back in Combat Boots: A Look at the Decision-making Process of Returning to Combat after Injury
The College of Health Professions presents “Back in Combat Boots: A Look at the Decision-making Process of Returning to Combat after Injury” with guest speaker Kate Yancosek, Ph.D., OTR/L, CHT, on Thursday, December 6, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Center for Healthcare Education (TBL Lecture Hall S116), 4000 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Join us for a discussion on the role and responsibilities of a therapist in the case of a patient who wants to return to combat following an injury. Following Kate Yancosek’s presentation, College of Health Professions and social work students will participate in an interprofessional break-out session to discuss a relevant case. Yancosek retired from the U.S. Army in 2017 as a lieutenant colonel and holds a Ph.D. in rehabilitation science. This event is for students and faculty only.
