The School of Communication, Media & the Arts (SCMA) and the Human Journey Colloquia Series will host “An Honest Conversation about Post-Truth” featuring Lee McIntyre, research fellow at the Center for Philosophy and History of Science at Boston University, instructor of ethics at Harvard Extension School and author of Post-Truth, on Tuesday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m. at Martire Theater (E-145), 5401 Park Avenue, Fairfield. This event is free and open to the public. Join us for a discussion on how we arrived in a post-truth era, when “alternative facts” replace actual facts, and feelings have more weight than evidence. Learn where the term post-truth came from, hear present day examples and how it has changed the landscape of media. The talk will be moderated by SCMA Professor Bill Yousman.
