Sacred Heart University to Dedicate New Jorge Bergoglio Residence Hall

Sacred Heart University is hosting a dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting for its brand new, state-of-the-art residence hall, the Jorge Bergoglio Hall, named after Pope Francis. The building will house more than 200 sophomore students in two-bedroom (four-person) pods with a shared bathroom.

Rabbi Abraham Skorka, close friend of Pope Francis since childhood, will offer the keynote remarks.

The dedication will take place on Tuesday, August 30, at 11 a.m. It is free and open to the public and a reception will follow the ceremony.
