A new listing released by Top Management Degrees ranked Sacred Heart University’s doctorate in business administration program 26 out of 50 schools.
Top Management Degrees, a website dedicated to business and management education, developed the ranking based on accreditation, prestige, estimated cost, student satisfaction and business management curriculum. According to Top Management Degrees, “each criterion was given equal weight to gather a well-respected and high quality doctoral business management program.” Data was gathered from each school’s website, as well as U.S.News and World Report, the Princeton Review and the National Center for Education Statistics. The listing is created to help students find the highest quality doctorate degree in business management.
“This is excellent news for Sacred Heart,” said John Chalykoff, dean of the Jack Welch College of Business. “Our faculty works incredibly hard to prepare students for a career in business management. The courses are rigorous and enlightening.”
A professional executive doctoral degree is the highest step professionals can reach to gain an educational competitive advantage, according to the listing. With MBA professionals flooding the business world, an executive doctoral degree in business management helps business professionals differentiate themselves from their peers, according to Top Management Degrees.
The Doctorate of Business Administration program at SHU focuses on developing knowledge with direct global business applications and prepares graduates for executive careers in business and financial institutions, consulting firms, government agencies or academic careers that require an equivalent of a Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution.
“This ranking, being in the top 30 on a list of 50, means that our accredited program continues to meet its mission and vision,” said Lucjan Orlowski, director of the program. “The program prepares students for a highly specialized career in a number of fields. Students gain global perspective on issues related to financial markets; they learn to appreciate the high ethical standards and values of finance professionals; they demonstrate the creation of new knowledge through original research and acquire advance knowledge in finance.”
