Rolheiser to Present Annual Nouwen Lecture on the Occasion of SHU’s 50th

Sacred Heart University’s Third Annual Henri Nouwen Lecture on Contemporary Spirituality will take place in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit on Saturday, June 15, at 8 p.m. as part of the 13th general meeting of the International Thomas Merton Society. This year’s featured lecturer will be Roman Catholic Priest Ronald Rolheiser. The event will be one of many to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Sacred Heart.

Rolheiser is a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and president of the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio. He is a community-builder, lecturer and writer. His books are popular throughout the English-speaking world, and his weekly column is carried by more than 70 newspapers worldwide. Recent books include: Our One Great Act of Fidelity, The Holy Longing, Forgotten Among the Lilies: Learning to Love Beyond Our Fears, The Restless Heart: Finding Our Spiritual Home in Times of Loneliness and The Shattered Lantern: Rediscovering a Felt Presence of God.
