Financial Risk Forum With Dr. Orlowski

An informative economic community forum will take place at Sacred Heart University entitled “Recent Developments in Financial Risk” on Thursday, September 15 at 6pm in the Schine Auditorium. Dr. Lucjan Orlowski, chair and professor of the Jack Welch College of Business’ (WCOB) Department of Economics and Finance, will preside over the event.  Guest speakers will include Dr. Bluford Putnam, chief economist of CME Group; Dr. Abu Amin and Dr. Kwamie Dunbar, assistant professors in the WCOB’s Department of Economics and Finance; Albert H. Cheng, senior VP of Atlantic Asset Management; and Sidney Hardee, managing partner of Hardee Brothers, LLC.

Talks will include “Improving the Integration of Risk Management into the Investment Process:  The Path to Superior Return-Risk Ratios,” “Unexpected Changes in the Federal Funds Target Rate and Their Impact on Credit Risk and Counter-Party Risk,” and “Risk Control Using ETFs.”
