University College to Host Hesburgh Lecture with Notre Dame's Dr. Gary Lamberti

University College will host the fall Hesburgh Alumni Lecture with University of Notre Dame’s Gary Lamberti, professor and chair of Biological Sciences.  He will present his talk, “The Global Freshwater Crisis: Challenges and Solutions.”  This event will take place on Thursday, October 27 at 7pm in the Schine Auditorium.

Dr. Lamberti is a professor and chair of the Department of Biological Sciences at Notre Dame. He received his doctorate from the University of California Berkeley in 1983, and has been on the faculty at Notre Dame since 1989. Lamberti is an aquatic ecologist and environmental scientist whose research focuses on salmon biology, the ecology of invasive species, and river restoration. At Notre Dame, Lamberti teaches biostatistics, stream ecology, and restoration ecology.
