SHU Luxembourg’s Alfred Steinherr is Keynote Speaker at Annual China International Derivatives Forum

Alfred Steinherr, Ph.D., academic director of the John F. Welch College of Business in Luxembourg, was the keynote speaker at the 7th Annual China International Derivatives Forum, December 3-4, in Shenzhen. The forum, with the support of the China Securities Regulatory Committee, is jointly organized by the China Futures Association the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Municipal Government.

The theme of the conference was “Change, Integration, Innovations – Risk Management in the Uncertain Environment.” Dr. Steinherr’s topic was “Return to Real Economy – Prospects of the World Derivatives Market.” Approximately 500 delegates from 20 countries attended the conference.

Dr. Steinherr has extensively published on economic and financial topics. His most recent books are Economic Transition and Eastern Europe: Planting the Seeds and Derivatives: The Wild Beast of Finance.
