Welcome to Greek Life at Sacred Heart University! As you enter this website, I hope you discover the incredible opportunities and possibilities that Greek Life has to offer. Greek Letter Organizations were founded on the values of service, scholarship, and personal development. Sacred Heart University fully believes in these values and views them as the core principles of the Greek Letter Organizations.
The presence of Greek Life on campus is strong. Over 200 students participate in one of the three active fraternities or six sororities on campus. Each member of Sacred Heart University's Greek Community is committed to a specific social awareness cause that his/her organization is devoted to. That commitment is demonstrated by the various philanthropic events and community service projects completed by Greek Life members each semester.
Not only are fraternity and sorority members dedicated leaders in their respective organizations but they also hold various leadership positions on campus. Greeks are members of Student Government, Orientation Staff, Student Ambassadors, Residential Life, UMOJA, S.T.A.R I Leadership Program. All members of Greek Life contribute to the uniqueness of Sacred Heart University's Greek Community and are all bound by the founding ideals behind Greek Life. I hope that you will join us and take this opportunity to learn more about Greek Life at Sacred Heart University.
The Greek Life and Leadership Programs department is located in the Academic Building, upstairs in Hawley Lounge. Office Hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
