A WORLD OF CULTURAL OPPORTUNITY – RIGHT ON CAMPUS.
Experiencing a wide range of artistic expression is key to a well-rounded liberal arts education. At SHU, the emphasis on culture provides students with many opportunities to view, create and interact with The Arts – including digital design, music, dance, theatre, poetry, film, digital media arts and more.
The University presents major national and international artists – as well as student/faculty shows – on campus at the Edgerton Center for Performing Arts and Gallery of Contemporary Art. WSHU, our resident National Public Radio station, broadcasts notable arts and commentary. And our Pioneer Bands and Choral Ensembles offer numerous concerts throughout the year. Not to mention our student run radio station, WHRT - The Heart. Choose an arts-related major/minor through our College of Arts & Sciences – and/or join one of our creative student organizations – and you can organize talent events, open-mics, art shows, plays and poetry readings – as well as participate in cultural trips to NYC, Boston and New Haven.
Whatever you want to do, see or experience from a cultural perspective, SHU has it.
