Hello fellow Alumni!
First of all I'd like to thank you for checking out the Pioneer Bands Web Site. Within this section you can find information on events and also register with us to be placed in our Alumni Registry.
This upcoming year should be another great one for all of the Pioneer Bands. If you've been away for a while or if you just graduated last year, Sacred Heart is on the move! The Athletic Teams have become some of the top teams in their conferences, student population is on the rise and the Band has been moving in a positive direction.Last year the Marching Band had an entirely different look! BRAND NEW UNIFORMS! For those of you who remember the white tuxedo coat with black tuxedo pants and red 'Chucks' or our previous black pants and red top uniform, you will be delighted to see what the Marching Band has become.
The 2007-2008 year looks to be another busy one for all the bands. The creation last year of a Fall semester Concert Band called University Band and the subsequent Christmas Concert was a big hit; we look forward to entertaining everyone at our Second Annual Christmas Concert. The Marching Band will be heading up to Central CT State for our away football game this year and also traveling to the University of New Hampshire for the first ever New England Colleges and Universities Band Festival. This festival will showcase the talents of a number of Colleges and Universities in the New England and surrounding areas. Lastly our Pep Band will be playing down at the Harbor Yard Arena for a great double header with Fairfield University! This will be a monumental game for both schools as it is the inaugural "Battle of Fairfield" basketball game.
As you can see, the bands will have many things going on this year and we hope that all Alumni will come visit us at some point during this upcoming season.
