PEP BAND
The Pioneer Pep Band is around a 40 member band that performs for Men's and Women's Basketball and Men's Ice Hockey games. The Pep Band performs from November through the middle of March. The band supports the teams and entertains the crowd throughout the game and during half-time. Each season generally consists of 20-24 regular season games not including each teams respective tournament games.

Where We Play
The Pep Band entertains crowds at home games in the William H. Pitt Center home of the Men's and Women's Basketball teams and the Milford Ice Pavilion where the Men's Ice Hockey team plays.  The band adds a 'Home Court Advantage' for the teams and makes both venues two of the toughest places to play for opponents.  With this reputation the band has earned its nickname "The Beast of the Northeast".

Financial Assistance
All Pioneer Pep Band members are eligible to receive a Pioneer Band Grant. The grant available for Pep Band is $750. A limited number of Band Scholarships are also available with an audition.

Travel
During the regular season the Pep Band only plays at home games. At playoff and tournament time the Pep Band travels with the teams wherever they may go. Tournament games take place in March. Travel and hotels are paid for by the band. When possible meals and/or per diem will be provided.
