The Sacred Heart University Marching Band performs at various campus events throughout the year. We perform at home football games and as a featured guest performer at high school exhibitions. The band also participates in various local and national parades. Past parade performances include the St. Patrick's Day Parades in New York City and Boston, the NYC Halloween Parade, the Stamford Thanksgiving Day Parade in Stamford, CT and the New York City Columbus Day Parade, which was broadcast on WNBC and internationally on RAI in Italy.

Pre-Season Information
The Marching Band season starts in August for pre-season band camp. Camp is approximately one week before the start of school. This is a time for all members to brush up on basics, memorize the show music and learn drill. All marching band members move into their rooms for the year at the beginning of band camp. All pre-season meals are provided by the band and will not be subtracted from your yearly meal plan.
Practices
Practices are held during the week, Monday and Thursday nights from 7:45 PM - 9:45 PM. Some Saturday rehearsals are required before football games. Members of the Marching Band are strongly urged to coordinate their classes so they do not interfere with rehearsal nights.
Financial Assistance
Marching Band members may be eligible to receive a Performing Arts Grant. Please inquire with band staff.
Travel
Throughout the season the marching band may travel to various performances. Details are announced at the beginning of the season.
