SHU Residence Halls reopen on Monday January 16 @ 10am. Here are some details that you should be aware of regarding this opening.
Where do I go? What do I do?
Move-in time is between 10am-4pm. Due to staffing, students should check in between 10am-4pm. You can physically move in at any time after 10am. There will be no movers or additional help available to assist.
For many, you will need to get your SHU ID card encoded upon checking-in. Go to the following locations to have your SHU ID card encoded for your room for the Spring semester:

Check-in location
Roncalli
Roncalli Hall Security Desk
Merton Hall/Seton Hall
Merton Hall Great Room
Christian Witness Commons
Romero Hall (middle building) Security desk

Taft Commons

If you live in Park Ridge or Oakwood, simply go to your apartment and move-in.
Additionally, keys for new or transfer students can be picked up at the Public Safety window in the Main Academic Building.

What if I need to arrive early?
If you need to arrive any earlier than the official opening of the halls on Monday, January 16 @ 10am, you should submit a request for early arrival here : http://www.sacredheart.edu/pages/31171_winter_intersession.cfm
Please submit this at least 2 business days prior to your arrival. There is a cost associated with arriving early. See the link above for more information.

Not Returning?
If you lived in housing for the Fall semester but are not for the Spring, you must officially withdraw from housing. If you haven’t done so already, contact our department to complete necessary paperwork and to discuss when you will be clearing your belongings from the room.
New Roommate
You may have been assigned a new roommate, especially if you had a vacancy in your room at the conclusion of the Fall semester. While we attempt to notify every student who is getting a new or transfer student as a direct roommate, we strongly advise: Check your housing assignment to see who is living with you. http://housing.sacredheart.edu

For further information, please visit our website (http://reslife.sacredheart.edu) or call: 203-416-3417. The Residential Life Office is closed Saturday and Sunday but open Monday the 16th from 9am-4:30pm.
See you soon!
