Student who participated in our Australia Study Abroad ProgramSacred Heart University undergraduate students are invited to apply to the Sacred Heart University Study Abroad Program at the University of Notre Dame Australia. NDA is a private Catholic university committed to ensuring that students receive a personalized, high quality education. It offers a caring and friendly learning environment, providing a wide variety of courses that are challenging, relevant, and responsive to student needs. Community service opportunities are also available and encouraged.
Through this program, Sacred Heart University and NDA partner to provide Sacred Heart University students a full and balanced university program in Fremantle where present and past merge into a rich mix of cultures and traditions that is typical of the older university towns of Europe. Students enjoy an ideal location for study and recreation. Nearby beaches, sporting facilities, and cultural events combine with the advantage of department stores, specialty shops, markets, and medical centers, all within walking distance.
NDA has a second campus at the coastal town of Broome in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia. Study Abroad students (Fremantle Campus) take a specially designed course in Australian History and Society which includes a field trip to Broome and Aboriginal communities, and they experience the Australian Outback.
For those students who prefer a more urban setting, NDA now offers a study abroad program on its Sydney Campus.

BILLING
During the normal billing process, Sacred Heart University bills students the regular Sacred Heart tuition plus the $1,000 study abroad fee per semester. Sacred Heart University also bills students for other costs such as room and board, the required field trip to the Kimberley Region, and medical insurance that is required as a condition of student visa approval. Students are responsible for costs associated with airfare, books, visas, and personal expenses. They are also required to obtain International Student Identification Cards, and can apply by phone or online.
