SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
In addition to governmental and university forms of financial assistance and loans, the occupational therapy department provides two forms of financial assistance.  First there is a graduate assistantship available each year for one to two first year students meeting the application criteria. This position provides $5,000 towards annual tuition in exchange for 10 hours per week of work for the fall, spring and summer semesters of year one of the program. You can apply for this position during your first semester of attendance in the occupational therapy program.

Second, there is a local health care contract agency that provides money for tuition in exchange for a promise of employment of 15 months following graduation. Tuition assistance includes a $12,000 loan paid in installments of $3,000 per semester, 2 semesters each year of the program. The student must be a registered student of the occupational therapy program and must interview with the agency prior to acceptance.

Additional Scholarship information is available from The Department of Health and Human Services through The Indian Health Services Office for Health Professions Preparatory, Health Professions Pre-Graduate and Indian Health Professions Scholarship Program.  Click for Funding Opportunity Description.
