PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Along with the required coursework, each Pre-Med student is STRONGLY encouraged to take advantage of the many "practical experience" opportunities that Sacred Heart University has to offer; such as: volunteer work, internships, and special fellowship programs. In addition to their vigorous academic preparation, students are also invited to participate in a wide variety of co-curricular activities including book discussions, visits to museums, theatres, and exhibits. Students participating in the program are required to attend monthly meetings.

This Program is unique in that it is strongly rooted in both the sciences and the humanities.  It is dedicated to academic rigor and to nurturing altruism and realism through service. Its co-directors are professors in the Biology Department and the English and Modern Foreign Language Department.
