UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND INTERNSHIPS
Criminal Justice Internship Program – CJ 390
The internship is a six-credit course. It counts as two of the eight elective courses required for the major. This is not a classroom course. It is a practicum. Students spend 190 hours during the semester, 16 hours per week, working at a criminal justice site. The site may be a public or private criminal justice agency. Students may choose the area in which they wish to intern. The internship supervisor would then seek appropriate placement.

Recent placement sites include:
Connecticut Office of Adult Probation
Connecticut Office of Juvenile Probation
Bridgeport Police Department
Norwalk Police Department
Fairfield Police Department
State of Connecticut, Court Support Services Division
United States Postal Inspectors
United States Secret Service
