Pearl Jacobs is the Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice.  She is also the director of the Criminal Justice Internship Program. Her research interests and publications include the expansion of practical professional experiences for students and women in the criminal justice system, law enforcement administration and management.

Dr. Jacobs teaches courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in Criminal Justice.

Patrick MorrisPatrick Morris, Ph.D.

Patrick Morris has been a member of the faculty since the fall of 2005 after a 26-year career with the Norwalk, CT Police Department. His research interest is the law enforcement response to domestic violence.

Dr. Morris teaches courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Criminal Justice.

James E. McCabe, Ph.D.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. McCabe completed 21 years of service with the New York City Police Department where he held numerous command level positions including the Commanding Officer of Labor Relations, Commanding Officer of the Training Bureau, Commanding Officer of the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst/Corona, Queens. He was also the Executive Officer of the Police Commissioner’s Office and the 113th Precinct in South Jamaica. He retired in 2006 from the New York Police Department with the rank of Inspector.

Dr. McCabe teaches courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Criminal Justice.

Stephane Jasmin Kirven
B.A. Tufts University
J.D. Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C.

Professor Kirven teaches courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in criminal justice. Prior to pursuing an academic career, she was a litigation associate in several law firms as well as a claims specialist in professional liability.

Anthony J. Papa

Professor Papa teaches courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in criminal justice. Prior to his academic career, Professor Papa completed twenty years of service with the New York City Police Department. He retired as a Lieutenant in the Warrant Bureau in the Bronx. He has also been a practicing attorney engaged in insurance defense.

Tanya M. Grant

Prior to her academic career, Professor Grant worked in the field of Domestic Violence for 15 years. She advocated for victims, educated communities about Domestic Violence, worked on legislation to protect Domestic Violence victims and their children. She has also worked in the field of Juvenile Justice.

Professor Grant teaches courses in the undergraduate Criminal Justice Program.
