In 2004, the SHU Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Coalition recognized the need for a student-to-student network on campus.
It was clear that peers play a unique and powerful role in developing a healthy campus culture.
The Peer Education Advisory Committee, representing Athletics, Residence Life, Judicial Affairs, Health Services, the
Counseling Center, and the Freshman Mentor program, worked throughout the year to lay the groundwork for a new Peer Education program at SHU.
Now that the group is up and running, the committee meets monthly to continue to support its development and growth (
