About the Program
Sacred Heart University issues all student refunds through the Pioneer Plus Card from Higher One^®.  The University has partnered with Higher One, Inc., a financial services company focused solely on higher education to bring this new method of refund disbursement to campus.

Founded in 2000, Higher One provides higher education institutions and their students with efficient, convenient and easy-to-use solutions to handle financial disbursements.

The Pioneer Plus Card provides SHU students with increased choice when it comes to receiving their financial aid or school refunds, including the Easy Refund^sm method which makes refunds available the same day the University releases it or electronically to the student’s existing bank account through ACH transfer. 

What Students Need to Do
The Pioneer Plus Card is mailed to each student’s current address on file with SHU. Therefore, it is critical that all students verify their current home address through WebAdvisor https://webadvisor.sacredheart.edu as soon as possible.
