Dr. Leiser returns to Sacred Heart University after several years of practice at Cioffredi & Associates Center for Rehabilitation in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where she was the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) and a staff Physical Therapist.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2005 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007; both from Sacred Heart University.  Following her Doctoral work, Dr. Leiser continued with Sacred Heart as an Orthopaedic Resident in Physical Therapy.  During that time, she practiced at the Sacred Heart University Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center as well as the Immediate Health Center at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in occupational health.  In addition to advanced course work, she also assisted with the instruction of courses in orthopaedic examination and intervention in the Sacred Heart University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.  After completion of her Orthopaedic Residency in 2008, she relocated to Cioffredi & Associates in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

During her time in New Hampshire, Dr. Leiser’s practice focused primarily on out-patient sports and orthopaedic physical therapy.  She has worked with multiple Olympic athletes as well as Junior-Nationals and Junior-World Championship competitors in several winter sports including downhill and freestyle skiing, snowboarding and Nordic events.  While she has a passion for athletics and sports injuries, she has dedicated much of her continuing education coursework to manual and manipulative therapy of the spine.  In 2011, she became board certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

In August of 2011, Dr. Leisner returned to her alma mater as a clinical faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
