ABOUT ROME, ITALY
Rome is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the European Union. Visitors come from around the world to see world-famous landmarks such as the Coliseum, the Forum and the Pantheon. Tourists also love to throw three coins into Trevi Fountain, climb the Spanish Steps, or enjoy gelato in Piazza Navona. At Vatican City, you can visit St. Peter's Cathedral and enjoy its fountains, statues and the beautiful church dome. Moreover, at the Vatican Museum, you won't want to miss the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael or the Sistine Chapel. One visit and you’ll be hooked. Rome is a city where you feel cool just strolling through the streets, catching the sunlight on your face outside a café, or eating a long lunch. It’s a place that almost encourages you to take things easy. Don’t feel like going to a museum? What’s the need when it’s all outside on the streets?
JCU STUDY CENTER
John Cabot University is located along the banks of the Tiber River in the vibrant Trastevere quarter, on the grounds of the prestigious Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, where Galileo worked. A 15-minute walk takes you to the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, and Castel Sant'Angelo, the hiding place of the popes during the Guelf-Ghibelline wars of the Middle Ages. In another direction you’ll find the Pantheon, built as a Roman temple in 25 BC, and the beautiful Piazza Navona. And yet in another direction you’ll be walking through the Roman Forum to the Coliseum.
