Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Study Abroad is to provide a diverse range of academically-based international experiences in support of students’ personal, educational and professional growth based on the Catholic intellectual tradition. OSA will uphold these standards by:
- Identifying, developing, nurturing and reviewing diverse and academically-based international programs, both faculty-led and affiliation agreements with a commitment to quality, safety, affordability and accessibility
- Appropriately advising students to maximize the study abroad experience—before, during and after the term abroad
- Developing and upholding policies and procedures which minimize risks and promote excellence
- Advocating and collaborating on a multidisciplinary level to convey the importance of study abroad and the integration of curriculum
- Increasing awareness of and support services for campus internationalization to further advance Sacred Heart University.
