During his 30 year career with NV Philips Medical Division, he held the positions of Scientific Advisor, Director of the MRI Business Unit, Special Assistant to the President and VP and General Manager of Philips Ultrasound International based in California. In addition, he established a joint venture of Philips and Hitachi Ltd. in the field of CT medical imaging, serving as its president for 5 years. As a senior executive of Philips, he was involved over his career in business enterprises with 12 major corporations including HP, General Motors, 3M, Dupont, Fuji and SRI. His business experience encompasses both Europe and the Far East.  

During the last 7 years he has been associated with SHU, formerly with programs in medical ethics and workplace spirituality and more recently with the School of Business, helping to establish the seminar entitled Contemporary Issues in Business Ethics.
