In 2002, the John F. Welch College of Business was asked if it could provide assistance to the Diocese of Bridgeport Regional Catholic School systems with their strategic planning process. Since then, the center has grown and has been incorporated into many different courses and concentrations throughout the University.

To date, the Center has completed over 119 projects for 44 separate NFP organizations utilizing nearly 400 students.
