CR 101 – The Person of Jesus
Overview: A presentation of Jesus as the fulfillment of Revelation highlighting major New Testament themes. Some themes to be explored are: the theology of the New Testament, the role of Jesus in the culture of Israel, and who was Jesus? CR 102 – Conveying the Faith in an Educational Environment
Overview: Developing a sense of what faith implies in the educational setting, methods for conveying the faith, and the power of the person of faith as a faith communicator.
CR103 – Sacramental Theology in the Catholic Community
Overview: Specific information on the sacramental life of the Church including definitions, sacraments as encounters with God, and sacraments as part of building up the community.
CR104 – Introduction to the Hebrew Scripture
Overview: Survey of God's revelation to the chosen people and the events which led to the establishment of the covenant and the prophecies, including also origins of the Old Testament, authorship, the roles of Torah and Talmud.
CR105 – Introduction to the New Testament
Overview: Survey on how the New Testament was written, a look at the different sections of the New Testament, and its impact on the early Christian Community as well as its impact today.
CR 106 – Living the Moral Life
Overview: A study of morality as virtue, and as following God's will -. Themes will include how this interfaces with ethical principles, Christian responsibility, and social justice.
CR 107 – Spirituality and Catholic Education
Overview: an orientation to the principles that underlie Christian spirituality and how they affect education. Themes will various spiritual traditions, mentoring, and how to develop School spirituality.
CR 108 – History and Traditions of the Church
Overview: Introduction to the scope of the entire Christian Church, including major figures, leadership, Councils, and teachings.
CR 109 – Overview and meaning of the liturgical year and its rites, the rationale of Christian celebrations, sacraments, sacramental, paraliturgies, and the planning of liturgies for children.
CR 110 - The Educator as Minister
Overview: defining of roles around the word minister, how to develop a since of ministry in a classroom environment, how to see the role of ministry and social service as one.
