Clinical Assistant Professor
Professor Glenn earned her nursing diploma at Dartmouth-Hitchcock School of Nursing. Continuing her education, she received her BS and MSN degrees before becoming nationally board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also received a Post Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education from Sacred Heart University.
Professor Glenn has been an adjunct nursing professor at SHU since 2007, and has worked in a variety of clinical settings in California, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia. As Assistant Director of Nursing for a hospital in Texas, she coordinated staff education and has since then worked extensively in school health in public and private school settings.
Most recently Professor Glenn has worked in a university setting as a Family Nurse Practitioner of student health services. Her community involvement led to establishment of a foundation to aid in assisting families in medical crisis with non reimbursed medical expenses. Professor Glenn’s expertise and research interest in adolescent behavioral health has led her to co-author and publish on the topic of self mutilation in adolescents in the peer reviewed American Journal of Nurse Practitioners.
A member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society and Delta Epsilon Tau, she was awarded the Nightingale Award for nursing excellence, and remains active in community affairs.
