CONSTANCE GLENN RN, APRN-BC
Clinical Assistant Professor

Professor Glenn earned her nursing diploma at Dartmouth-Hitchcock School of Nursing.  Continuing her education, she received her BS and MSN degrees before becoming nationally board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  She also received a Post Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education from Sacred Heart University.
Professor Glenn has been an adjunct nursing professor at SHU since 2007, and has worked in a variety of clinical settings in California, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia.  As Assistant Director of Nursing for a hospital in Texas, she coordinated staff education and has since then worked extensively in school health in public and private school settings.

Most recently Professor Glenn has worked in a university setting as a Family Nurse Practitioner of student health services. Her community involvement led to establishment of a foundation to aid in assisting families in medical crisis with non reimbursed medical expenses.  Professor Glenn’s expertise and research interest in adolescent behavioral health has led her to co-author and publish on the topic of self mutilation in adolescents in the peer reviewed American Journal of Nurse Practitioners.

A member of Sigma Theta Tau  nursing honor society and  Delta Epsilon Tau, she was awarded the Nightingale Award  for nursing excellence, and remains active in community affairs.
