SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF EDGERTON CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
FAIRFIELD, Conn., July 28, 2004—Felicia J. Bettini has been appointed Director of the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts at Sacred Heart University.  Ms. Bettini brings a wide range of experience in the management of performing arts facilities to her new position, including business manager for the John Harms Center for the Arts in Englewood, New Jersey. Most recently, she served as Director of Operations and Director of Sales and Business Development for the Stamford Center for the Arts.  

Ms. Bettini's professional theatrical background also includes production and project management responsibilities for the Hudson Scenic Studio, Inc., as well as for Broadway productions, national touring companies, and industrial road shows.  She also worked at Pace University where she counseled adult college students.   

Ms. Bettini's educational background includes a B.S. in Business/Marketing from Mercy College and an M.S. in Counseling and Development from Long Island University. She also earned a certification as a New York State Guidance Counselor. Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, she now resides in Redding, Connecticut, along with her husband and two daughters; one of whom is pursuing acting in college, and her two Bearded Collies - Rizzo (from Grease) and Coco.   

In a comment following her appointment, she said: “I'm eagerly looking forward to developing the Edgerton Center to be a ticket to a great night out, and to reach beyond traditional programming in bringing our many audiences events they won't want to miss."
