FAIRFIELD, Conn.—As thousands of college kids move into dormitories across the country this weekend, Sacred Heart University will officially welcome its largest-ever freshman class. The Class of 2008, along with upper classmen, will descend upon the University's 57-acre campus on Move-In Weekend, beginning on Saturday, Sept. 4.

The class of 2008 represents the University's largest-ever freshman enrollment - 882 students from 19 states. Included in the total are four sets of twins, as well as 23 graduates of St. Anthony High School, a college preparatory school in Huntington, Long Island. The largest numbers of students hail from New York (373), Connecticut (203), Massachusetts (111), and New Jersey (109). 

Sacred Heart University's ten residence halls will house approximately 70% of the University's 3059 full-time undergraduate students. The University officially opened three new all-suite residence halls this week that will house over 400 students on campus.
