Local Resident Named Trustee of Sacred Heart University

FAIRFIELD, Conn., November 1, 2004 – Sacred Heart University has welcomed  alumna Rosanne Badowski to its Board of Trustees, the University's top governing body. She is an author and long-time executive assistant to Jack Welch, the legendary former Chairman & CEO of the General Electric Company, Ms. Badowski recently authored Managing Up: How to Forge an Effective Relationship with Those Above You, published by Doubleday in 2003. She has addressed numerous audiences and contributed to many publications discussing the role of executive assistants in business today.

While working at the General Electric Company for 25 years, Ms. Badowski held a series of administrative positions in Legal, International Human Resources, and Executive Management.  In 1988, she became the Executive Assistant to John F. Welch, chairman & chief executive officer of GE.  Since Mr. Welch's retirement from GE in 2001, she continues to work with him as his executive assistant in the consulting company of Jack Welch, LLC, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Ms. Badowski received an associate's degree and a Bachelor of  Science degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. She resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
