Dr. Abu S. Amin, Assistant Professor of Finance, earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Houston in 2010. He received M.Sc. in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, U.K. He also earned his M.B.A and B.B.A in Finance from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to perusing Ph.D. he worked as a Lecturer at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dr. Amin has taught Introduction to Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Derivatives, Risk and Insurance Management, and Small Business Finance prior to joining Sacred Heart University. His research interests include Empirical Corporate Finance, Market Microstructure, and International Finance. He is a Commonwealth Scholar. He is a member of American Finance Association, European Finance Association and Financial Management Association.
