Michelle Wormley, PT, MPT, CLT, Clinical Assistant Professor, Director of Continuing Education, Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education, Graduate Program in Physical Therapy
Michelle Wormley earned her Bachelor of Science and Master in Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University ’02, ’04. Her experience as a physical therapist has consisted of treating patients with neurological deficits in addition to obtaining her Certification in Lymphedema Management.
Professor Wormley joined the adjunct faculty at Sacred Heart Faculty in the fall of 2008 before accepting the role as Clinical Faculty and the Director of Continuing Education in 2009. Primary teaching responsibilities have included the examination and documentation of patients with medically complex issues and neurological impairments.
As the Director of Continuing Education, the focus has been on offering quality educational programs at an affordable cost for practitioners in the community in order to fulfill licensing requirements. In addition to this role, Professor Wormley has joined the clinical education team as an Academic Clinical Coordinator of Education. As of the fall of 2010, she will continue these roles in addition to accepting a full-time position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department. Professor Wormley is currently approaching the end of her coursework for her PhD in Physical Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. Research interests for her dissertation include qualitatively investigating the experiences in a problem-based learning curriculum in relationship to physical therapy clinical practice.
