Sean Heffron

Sean Heffron has joined the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University as director of the Student Experience. The announcement was made by College Dean John J. Petillo, Ph.D.

Mr. Heffron has been director of First Year Enrollment Research at Sacred Heart University.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Ithaca College in 1999 and his master’s in Student Personnel Administration from New York University in 2001.  He is currently an adjunct professor in Communications, and head coach of Club Baseball at Sacred Heart University.

As director of the Student Experience, Mr. Heffron is responsible for the implementation, management and assessment of the new Welch Experience Program, in the Welch College of Business.  He will work with faculty to develop new initiatives aimed at improving student engagement and student retention. “The Welch Experience,” he explained, “has the potential to be a benchmark program for business schools around the country. Our students stand to gain so much from our knowledgeable faculty and the many resources available to them through this unique experience. I feel blessed to be a part of such an important initiative in the Welch College of Business.”
