Active-Duty Service Members:
CLEP exams are funded by the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (Dantes) for eligible military personnel and civilian employees with a proper identification.

Who is Eligible for Dantes-Funded CLEP Exams?
Service members are able to take DANTES – funded CLEP exams at college tests centers without paying the exam fee, but are still required to pay the test center registration fee to the college that provides the service.

Veterans:
Veterans can claim reimbursement for CLEP exams and exam administration fees under provisions of the Veterans’ Benefits Improvement Act of 2004, which enhances the education benefits of the Montgomery GI Bill.
