About the 6th Year Programs
6th Year Certificates of Advanced Study are available in two areas: Advanced Studies in Administration and Advanced Studies in Teaching.
The Administration Program is designed for those interested in further study in Educational Administration and Leadership and for maintaining administrative certification. The 6th Year Degree consists of an additional 15 credits beyond the Intermediate Administrator Certificate Program. Many students in this program continue on to doctoral studies.
The Program for Advanced Teaching is a flexible curriculum allowing the experienced classroom teacher to customize a program to fit their professional goals and interests.
