FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT A BACHELORS DEGREE IN ANY AREA
If you have a bachelors degree in an area other than nursing, you do not need to do and RN-MSN, rather, you may continue directly onto an MSN degree.  Please click back and view our MSN track choices.

RN to MSN Admission Requirements:

The RN to MSN degree program is designed for the academically talented student who has experience in nursing.  The criteria for admission include:

  • One (1) year of nursing experience preferred
  • RN license
  • Cumulative college GPA at least 3.2
  • Successful interview with the Program Coordinator

Applicants for the MSN program must submit the following application materials to the Office of Graduate Admissions:

  • Online Graduate application form and a non-refundable application fee.
  • Official transcript(s) from all colleges and universities previously attended.
  • Statement of professional goals
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Current resume
  • Copy of current RN license
  • Successful interview with the Program Coordinator (can be scheduled once application materials are received)

Official transcripts must be mailed, but you may e-mail or fax recommendations, resume and the RN license.

Admission to the MSN program is competitive and is available for the September, January and June terms.
