Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Family Nurse Practitioner Admission Requirements
CAN BE DONE ONLINE EXCEPT FOR THE FINAL THREE COURSES
Qualifications for the Family Nurse Practitioner program for the MSN degree include:
- BSN Degree with a 3.0 GPA (students without a BSN are encouraged to apply)
- Interview with the Program Coordinator
- Statement of professional goals
- Connecticut RN license
- Courses in statistics and nursing research
- Basic Health Assessment course (30 hours or greater)
Applicants for the Family Nurse Practitioner program must submit the following application materials to the Office of Graduate Admissions:
- Graduate application form and a non-refundable application fee.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Official transcript(s) from all colleges and universities previously attended.
- Current resume
- Copy of current RN license
Admission to the MSN program is offered on a rolling basis throughout the year.
