INTERMEDIATE ADMINISTRATOR CERTIFICATION ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Traditional Track
and Fall (September) 2009 Cohort Program applications

Intermediate Administrative Certificate Admission Requirements

Students applying to the Graduate Program must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.   

For matriculation in any of the Graduate Education Programs students must submit:

  • Graduate application form and a non-refundable application fee.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Official transcript(s) from all colleges and universities previously attended.
  • Current resume.
  • Case Study Responce (Case Study will be mailed to you once we receive your application)

Candidate for the Intermediate Administrative Certificate Program must also

  • Hold or be eligible for a Connecticut teaching certificate.
  • Hold a master's degree from an approved institution.
  • Completed five years teaching experience (if the applicant lacks this prerequisite, a student may partially fulfill this requirement through a practicum included in the planned program of preparation)
  • Completed a course in special education (at least 36 hours)

Applications for the weekend-based cohort program are due by March 1 for classes beginning in the Fall term.  Applications for the traditional evening program are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, but you should allow yourself plenty of time to complete the application requiresments, so don't delay.
