Intermediate Administrative Certification (092) is required for any school administrative position ranging from Department Chair and Assistant Principal to Assistant Superintendent of Schools in the State of Connecticut.
The 092 Certification Program is an 18 credit planned program. Candidates for the 092 license must also pass the Connecticut Administrator Test. (CAT)
Sacred Heart University offers two distinct delivery methods for completing the requirements for 092 Administrative Certification: a traditional part-time evening program and a weekend-based cohort program. Both programs offer the same classes toward completion of the 092 Certificate.
Admission to the traditional evening program is conducted on a rolling basis throughout the year, while cohort classes for the weekend program begin in the Fall.
We are currently taking applications for:
Spring (January) 2009 - Traditional Evening Track: Classes are offered in a traditional format in the evenings, Monday through Thursday from 4pm-7pm or 7pm-10pm and occationally on certain Saturdays in certain terms. You can take the required 6 courses at your own pace - 3 - 9 credits each term, depending on the term.
Fall (September) 2009 - Accelerated Cohort Group: Classes meet on an occasional Friday evening and then every-other-Saturday to complete the required 6 courses in 10 months. We accept fifty students into 2 cohorts, so please apply early to secure a spot.
