The Accounting Certificate program provides a foundation for students who want to develop their accounting knowledge. This certificate is ideal as a starting point for people who already have a business degree and want to become an accountant. The combination of an undergraduate certificate in accounting with a graduate certificate in accounting could complete the Connecticut requirements for the CPA exam for those with a business or finance undergraduate degree. For more information, contact Dr. Karen Cascini at cascinik@sacredheart.edu.

The certificate is composed of the following courses:

• AC 201 Intermediate Accounting I*
• AC 202 Intermediate Accounting II
• AC 321 Auditing I
• AC 322 Auditing II
• AC 301 Advanced Accounting I

*Note: AC 101 is a prerequisite course for AC 201. Most business degrees have a course similar to Accounting 101
