The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the John F. Welch College of Business will prepare you for advancement in today's complex and dynamic environment. The innovative Welch MBA curriculum places strong emphasis on:
- Building your cross-functional skills in a real-world business approach
- Recognizing the demands of an increasingly competitive, multicultural, global economy
- Managing your work and personnel with the highest ethical standards
- Case studies & teamwork in an interactive, problem-based learning mode of instruction. You’ll work with students from different academic and professional backgrounds in a classroom environment
Sacred Heart University's Welch MBA degree program focuses on an Integrated Core of courses which examines all the functions within a business enterprise, as well as external factors.
- You’ll work with faculty and local executives on current case studies involving hands-on learning which incorporate finance, marketing, operations, and accounting simultaneously.
- Beyond the Integrated Core, quantitative competencies and leadership development, Welch MBA students may choose to study in one of four academic concentrations: Accounting, Finance, Management, or Marketing.
- Candidates with business related academic backgrounds can complete the degree in just 36 credits. Candidates with other academic backgrounds are simply required to take two pre-requisite courses (6 credits). We’ve removed the fluff and focused our program on the things you need to become a leader.
- If you attend class two evenings per week, you’ll complete the program in less than two years
- You can take nine credits of the Welch MBA on-line. We offer the vital in-class learning environment combined with the flexibility needed to earn your degree

You may consider one of our graduate professional certificate programs. The GMAT exam is not required for admission to a certificate program. A certificate offers you the opportunity to specialize in one of the areas below without pursuing a full graduate degree:
Students who have successfully completed a graduate certificate may apply to the master's program and, upon acceptance, may be able to use those credits earned in the certificate program toward the master's degree.
