SUSAN DINNOCENTI, PH.D.
Susan Dinnocenti, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, has been teaching at Sacred Heart University since 2007.

Dr. Dinnocenti is an educator, personal life coach, and businesswoman. She has taught pre-school through high-school students and both undergraduate and graduate students at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She worked as a research assistant for the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT while obtaining her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and has worked on School Reform at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

As a businesswoman and personal life coach for children, teens, and adults, Susan’s focus is on motivating others to reach their potential. She is a student and a practitioner of Positive Psychology methods and believes that each person can have a more fulfilled life by utilizing individual strengths in everyday situations.

Dr. Dinnocenti’s research interests include positive psychology in the classroom, character strengths and internal motivation of females in sports, how the use of technology affects learning, and children’s physical fitness in relationship with self-esteem.

Personally, Dr. Dinnocenti is a tri-athlete, plays golf and basketball, enjoys music and the arts, and values her time with friends, family, and a good book at the beach.
