COLLEGE MAJOR
Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Stayed undecided until the last possible semester because I had no idea what I wanted to do. Went back and forth between so many majors.

JOB POSITIONS
During college I worked at a private country club heading up the member services department. Right after graduation I worked in Sales and Marketing. Then I found my way into IT, and now I'm working as a graduate assistant in Student Life doing orientation, events, student relations, etc.

CURRENT POSITION
I don't know how to explain that because I haven't officially started haha. Oversee freshman student government? Work on orientation? Family weekend? Student events?  In the job I'm leaving (IT) I work with managing the telephone servers, information servers, web site material, office efficiency development, blah blah blah. 

POSITIVES
Interacting with people and solving problems

NEGATIVES
Sometimes something that can be beneficial to the company, the CEO might not see the same way. When something needs to be changed it can be hard to motivate people to adjust to the change.

LIFESTYLE
The stress at work can be hard to leave at the office and not take home.

COLLEGE PREPARATION
Working during the summers helped a lot. As my courses became more specific to my major after I decided is when it really started to help me. Knowing the direction I wanted to take my life helped but at the same time I ended up doing so many other things that were not directly related to my major. The experience after college is what really breaks you in.

CAREER ADVICE
Not sure what my career specifically is yet. Doing good work and working hard makes you noticed and that can lead you in a lot of directions. Take the opportunities given to you and enjoy the ride.

SHU EXPERIENCE
Loved college at SHU. My friends and I were really involved all around campus and we had a great experience with it. It goes by really quick so make the most of it while you're there!
