The Sacred Heart softball team finished a perfect tournament weekend Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 shutout of LIU to capture the NEC championship for the first time in program history. Jen Russell was named the tournament MVP after another stellar performance throwing a four hit shutout against the #1 seed Blackbirds. Read more...SHU Junior One of 12 National Honorees Kelly Considine, a junior from Harwinton, CT, is one of 12 students nationally to receive a scholarship from Delta Epsilon Sigma, the national honor society for Catholic colleges and universities. The recognition is based solely on academic accomplishments, leadership and service, in conjunction with faculty recommendations. Considine is majoring in biology and chemistry, with minors in criminal justice and math. Read more...
