The Long Island Coalition for Fair Broadcasting presented members of the WSHU news team with a prestigious Focus on Long Island (FOLIO) Award at a luncheon on Friday, April 28, at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York. News Director Tandaleya Wilder and reporter Charles Lane won the honor in the category of “Continuing News Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast” for their 2-part series “The Priest Shortage in Suffolk County, Long Island.”
According to George Lombardi, WSHU general manager, “We are always proud of our quality local news reporting, but we become prouder still when that work is recognized by a larger audience of professional peers.”
