Gender and Violence

In November, 2006, the United Nations and Amnesty International launched a campaign to strengthen the international human rights focus on violence against women (and children) used as a means of oppression, suppression and marginalization. The panel will address various aspects of the topic, including historical and religious legacies of violence against women, domestic questions and legalities, and the psychology of trauma.
