SHU Senior Earns McCaughey Scholarship
Senior Thomas C. Streko, Jr. is the recipient of the Patrick McCaughey Scholarship, given for the first time this year. The grant will allow the athletic training student to attend the national symposium of the National Athletic Trainers' Association to be held in June in San Antonio, Texas. The annual grant is funded in memory of a SHU alumnus who majored in athletic training and whose academic and personal life enjoyed a remarkable turn-around in his senior year. Read more...

Men's Tennis Wins NEC Championship
Sophomore Chris Ujkic won a three set victory in the deciding match to clinch a 4-2 win for Sacred Heart as the Pioneers defeated Monmouth in the final match of the 2009 Northeast Conference Tournament to win the NEC Championship Sunday afternoon at Mercer County Tennis Center. It's the first title for the Pioneers, who were competing in the title match for just the second time. Read more...
