 SHU Falls to Ohio State in NCAA Tournament Samantha Prahalis took care of the perimeter with a career-best 23 points, and Jantel Lavender did the same inside with 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Ohio State past Sacred Heart, 77-63 Saturday in an NCAA first-round game. Third-seeded Ohio State (28-5) advanced to Monday night's second-round against 11th-seeded Mississippi State (23-9), a 71-63 winner over Texas in the day's first game. Annual Discovery Awards and Scholarship Dinner
Sacred Heart University will host its 20th Annual Discovery Awards and Scholarship Dinner on Wednesday, April 22nd, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Old Greenwich. The gala honors notable individuals while raising funds for SHU's Discovery Scholar Grants, which provide a tuition-free education to low-income students in Fairfield County. The Discovery Scholar Grants, established in 2008, allow Sacred Heart University to make financial assistance available to SHU students who reside in Fairfield County and have an annual family income at or below $50,000.
