Areas of Specialization: women writers in French and Italian from the 19th century to the present, particularly autobiographical writing and the bildungsroman.
Publications include a book entitled Female Journeys: Autobiographical Expressions by French and Italian Women (Greenwood P, 2000) and numerous articles on women writers.
Courses Taught: Writing Women's Lives, Women's Autobiography, Women Writing History, Women Writers in Modern European Narrative
Dr. Marrone is the Former Director of the SHU Women's Studies Program (1994-1997).
